Karen BizerLicensed Real Estate Salesperson
Karen Bizer has lived in New York City since graduating from Brown University with a BA in American History over 30 years ago. She comes to real estate through her love of art and fashion, becoming a licensed real estate salesperson in 2019.
An avid mover, Ms. Bizer has extensive personal experience with NYC living options, including co-ops, condominiums, and countless rental residences. Amongst her friends, she is affectionately referred to as a "real estate opportunist;" always willing to move for a better home, most within a few blocks from each other.
She began her career at Women's Wear Daily, hired after graduation as a fashion editor. She honed her aesthetic eye there, covering designers, such as Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, and Elie Tahari. She left WWD to become the Director of Marketing of Tahari, and then converted Mr. Tahari into her first independent client at Magnin Bizer Public Relations. Magnin Bizer represented notable fashion and beauty clients, including Krizia, Fred Leighton, Temple St. Clair Carr, Supersmile Toothpaste, and Dr. Dennis Gross.
Ms. Bizer then decided to tackle the next challenge; designing, selling and promoting her own accessories and jewelry collection in top magazines and stores, including Neiman Marcus, Barneys, and Richards, all while consistently moving and raising her kids and dogs. Real estate was a natural next step.
